Our itinerary for the Tuscan Cities tour
Day 1 - Arrival in Florence, sleep in Florence
Your first night in your departure point...have a nice evening stroll in the surrounding neighborhood and feel the animated, yet peaceful ambient of the Tuscan cities. Restaurants and trattoria are quietly fulfilled with locals and tourists, a charming, multicultural blend of people looking for the same, a taste of the superb local cuisine and the peace and magic of a place full of history... Afterwards, relax in your charming room, have a nice hot shower and a good night's rest before your tour starts...
Day 2 - Florence town, sleep in Florence
A journey to discover the Renaissance town, the medieval streets and the craftmen's workshops. the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with the beautiful dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery, Giotto's Bell tower. Piazza della Signoria, the heart of the town, the famous Pontevecchio and beyond the river, the splendid gardens of Giardino di Boboli...not tired and still time ? Palazzo Pitti will be waiting for you..
Day 3 - Florence town, sleep in Florence
Your Museum tickets will be prebooked so you will avoid the long queues. Uffizzi gallery will take most of your morning, after a light lunch, Academy museum with the magnificient works of Michelangelo, Piazza Santa Croce, with the splendid church of Santa Croce where great artists as Michelangelo are buried. there will be the opportunity to visit one of the most ancient leather schools and may be buy a piece of one of the typical crafts of the city.. A nice dinner in a typical Trattoria will be the perfect farewell to Florence.
Day 4 - From Florence to San Gimignano, sleep in San Gimignano
Get up very early in the morning, catch the train to Certaldo and visit this splendid medieval town that has remained intact, its the atmosphere refers to the charm of a rich life and culture. In Certaldo Alto you can see many monuments, charming churches, palaces, towers and the birthplace house of Boccaccio, author of the Decameron. >From Certaldo you will get to San Gimignano by taxi. Afternoon to discover San Gimignano, the famous town of the medieval towers, one of the main tourist attractions in Tuscany, a perfectly preserved 12th and 13th Century jewel. A nice dinner in San Gimignano and don't forget to taste the best ice cream of the world at Gelateria di Piazza.
Day 5 - From San Gimignano to Siena, sleep in Siena
Morning to visit what you left the day before in San Gimignano and then non stop bus to Siena..Start taking a stroll visiting the main points of the town, the Duomo and Piazza del Campo, a nice dinner and relax..
Day 6 - Siena town, sleep in Siena
A walking journey of the old city centre to admire the splendid palaces and the marvelous Cathedral which you can visit inside, including the Libreria Piccolomini and the adjacent Museo dell'Opera Metropolitana and behind the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Cripta di San Giovanni. Continue to Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful in the world with the majestic Palazzo Comunale, go up the Mangia Towner and admire the wonderful views of the town. Other important points not to miss are Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala and its Sala del Pellegrinaio, covered with 15th-century frescoes of daily life. Chiesa di Santa Caterina and Basilica di San Domenico.
Day 7 - From Siena to Pienza, sleep in Pienza
Take the bus from Siena to Pienza and stop first at San Quirico. A visit to this small, absolutely charming town with its beautiful buildings and fortified walls, shops, restaurants and cafés. There is a lot to see, the Collegiata Church, Palazzo Chigi, Church of San Francesco, Santa Maria Assunta and Horti Leonini just to mention a few.. From San Quirico, bus to Pienza. Time to discover the town, one of the most famous and beautiful hill top towns of the entire Tuscany. Visit the square and historical buildings, Palazzo del Comune, Palazzo Vescovile, Palazzo Piccolomini and the Duomo, they all preserve the secrets of the art of Rossellino and traces of the noble papal power.
Day 8 - Pienza, departure
While taking a nice cappuccino, let the memories of this Tour come back to your mind..then pack your baggage..we hope you enjoyed your stay !

Our tours depart any day from March 15th to Oct 31st. We recommend to book in advance, however, reservations must be made at least 3 days before departure date.
Q. Can I pay when I get to Italy, direct to your company representative ?
No, the total expense of the Tour must be paid at the moment of the reservation.

A.Our walking tours are designed for a minimum of 2 people and multiples of 2 travelling.
It will be your personal Tour and therefore you will be on your own.

Q. Where does the "Walking the Tuscan cities Tour" depart from?
A. The Tour is scheduled to depart from Florence and arrive to Pienza. In the event that you need to invert arrival/departure points, that will not be possible.
Q. How do I get to the Tour departure point and leave from the arrival point ? Do you pick up from airports, train stations or hotels ?
