Our itinerary for the guided tour of Certaldo and Volterra

Your driver will pick you up from your accomodation in the morning for a nice drive of about 1 hour and half to Volterra, a place where you can experience milleniums of history, art, archeology and culture from the Etruscans to the Romans, from the Middle Ages to Renaissance simply strolling through its narrow streets, unique squares, winning artisan shops and charming landscapes. Free time by your own for stroll and browse in the shops for alabaster, which has been mined in Volterra since Etruscan times.

 

 

 

After a stop of 3 hours we continue to Certaldo, or rather to Certaldo Alto, an ancient village of Roman origin. Reach the top by cable leading into the heart of this magnificent example of Medieval architecture, the birthplace of the famous Italian writer Boccaccio. 1 hours of free time for visits and relax before starting the journey back to your hotel.
